Welcome
It is with great pleasure that I welcome, on behalf of Bowls Singapore, teams from 8 countries to take part in the 7th Lion City Cup International Lawn Bowls Championship 2024. We are especially pleased that countries have been able to include under-25 players in their teams which is a great indicator of the health and growth of bowls!
This is the first time in Singapore that World Bowls accreditation and ranking points have been available and our intention is to make the Lion City Cup a regular event on the World Bowls calendar. Bowls Singapore would like to extend our sincere thanks to World Bowls CEO Neil Dalrymple and his team’s initiative in the World Bowls Series which we believe will be a great success for many years to come.
We sincerely thank our Sponsors and Sport Singapore for it is their generosity and support that make the tournament possible and a special thank you to Tanglin Club for use of their green and facilities.
The opportunity for our local bowlers to meet and compete with renowned international bowlers will definitely help them to develop their skills and experience in the sport of lawn bowls.
I would also like to thank Mr Edmund Lin and the members of the Organising Committee, for the great amount of effort they have put in to make this international lawn bowls championship a successful event!
I wish all bowlers success in the competition, that you take the opportunity to make and renew friendships with your fellow bowlers and most of all, enjoy the tournament. For the overseas bowlers, we wish you an enjoyable and memorable stay in Singapore.
Happy bowling!

The national language of Singapore is Malay. In this country with diverse races and culture, English is our common language. “Singlish” is mostly heard in our daily conversations and that makes us uniquely Singaporeans.
Even the way we order drinks at food centres...
In Singapore, it is impossible to get lost getting around here. With updated google maps, friendly locals and ease of public transport, we hope your time here will be enjoyable!
